Description

TechTrend is currently seeking a talented MS Azure Engineer to pave the way for one of our government clients towards a state-of-the-art digital transformation process that focuses around hybrid cloud technologies using the Microsoft Azure Cloud.

  • Candidate must be a US citizen (required for government clearance eligibility)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in or with government agencies or contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and architecture.
  • Familiarity with federal compliance standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, etc.).
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and identity governance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active government security clearance (Public Trust, Secret, or higher).
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-prem integration.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub).

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Azure-based solutions in accordance with federal security and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIS).
  • Support cloud migration efforts from legacy systems to Azure.
  • Configure and manage Azure services including virtual networks, storage, compute, identity, and monitoring.
  • Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as, ARM templates and Terraform.
  • Use PowerShell to automate environmental operational tasks
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure cloud environments meet agency security requirements.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and cost efficiency using Azure-native tools.
  • Maintain documentation and provide training to internal stakeholders.
