Overview:
In anticipation of an award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a an Azure Cloud Engineer to support a Federal government client. You will be responsible for supporting the assessment our clients IT infrastructure to help plan and deploy their ongoing cloud migration. You will also assist in the oversight of the migration process and design, maintain and monitor the new system. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical skills and leadership ability, with the communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other members of the team.
Location: This position is a hybrid in Washington, DC.
Clearance: This position supports a federal contract and requires US citizenship and an active Public Trust.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure
• Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions
• Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized
• Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software system
• Pro-actively identify and resolve operational, tooling and process inefficiencies

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years experience in Information Technology
• 3+ years of Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration and optimization
• Experience preparing technical documentation
• Current Public Trust clearance

Abilities:

• Active participation in weekly Cloud meetings
• Active participation and leadership of designing solutions that migrate current on-prem infrastructure to Azure including networking in Azure
• Coordinate among disparate IT specialities to implement the Azure solution including hands-on engineering and management of Azure systems
• Hands-on engineering work in Azure and properly documenting efforts.

Salary Range:

• Salary range is $145,000-170,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
