OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Integration Developer to support the design, development, and testing of system integrations for a NYC mobile app modernization initiative. This role is critical to ensuring seamless communication between the mobile application and various agency systems. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Azure Service Bus, a strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), and familiarity with public sector or large enterprise integration environments.
Duties:
- Design and develop robust integration solutions using Azure Service Bus, APIs, and other Microsoft Azure services.
- Collaborate with technical leads and agency stakeholders to define integration points across legacy and modern systems.
- Implement service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles to support scalable and maintainable data exchanges.
- Assist in unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of integration components.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all integration workflows.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge transfer sessions.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of professional experience
- 2+ years experience developing integrations using Azure Service Bus and related Azure technologies.
- Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture and enterprise integration patterns.
- Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and ensure system reliability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps) is a plus.
- Familiarity with the NYC OTI environment and integration constraints.
