JOB DESCRIPTION
Investigation and Enforcement Services (IES) directorate aims to deliver and promote a range of investigation and enforcement activities, both civil and criminal in nature, to support fair and open markets. We do this by effectively enforcing the statutory company and insolvency regimes, maintaining public confidence in those regimes, and reducing the harm caused to victims of fraudulent activity and to the business community.
This is an interesting and exciting role within the Financial Investigation Team, which is part of the Investigation and Enforcement Services Directorate. The team provides expert Asset Recovery work under the Proceeds Of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) supporting criminal and Intelligence investigation teams, to the wider agency and external partners. Team members are located across the country.
The postholder would need to be a flexible, positive leader, who can build trusted working relationships with a range of people, internal and external, promoting a collaborative and positive team spirit.
Some prior financial intelligence / investigation knowledge is desirable, additional training will be provided on the job and there will be support within the team who have a wealth of experience.
This is an exciting role within IES with responsibility for leading the Financial Investigation admin team. Providing an essential service to support the wider team in investigation and enforcement of asset recovery opportunities.
The post is a new post with opportunity to develop leadership and continuous improvement skills helping to shape the delivery of enforcement and asset recovery outcomes.
The post can be carried out Nationally, but occasional attendance at each office may be required. The Financial Investigation admin team provides support to Accredited Financial Investigators to achieve targets and Insolvency Service goals.
