As a Sales Support Specialist, you will serve as the essential link between our customers, sales managers, and internal departments. Your role is key to ensuring customer satisfaction, loyalty, and profitability by managing the full order-to-cash process and proactively engaging with clients. Please note: This position requires you to be on-site at our Gorinchem office four days per week. For that reason, we ask that candidates live within a commutable distance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • MBO 4 or HBO degree (commercial/business background preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales support, customer service, or a comparable commercial role.
  • Strong experience with order processing and administration; SAP knowledge is a big plus.
  • Fluent in English (professional level, written and spoken).
  • Dutch language skills are preferred, with a willingness to learn considered an asset. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Customer-focused mindset and strong commercial awareness.
  • Willingness to commute to our Gorinchem office 4 days per week (hybrid: 1 day remote, 4 days on-site).
Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end order-to-cash process, including order entry, credits/debits, delivery follow-up, and invoicing in SAP.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers, handling inquiries, complaints, and documentation requests.
  • Proactively develop and maintain customer relationships in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Analyze order patterns, flag deviations, and suggest improvements.
  • Collect and analyze customer and order data to drive process optimization.
  • Support finance with invoice collection and resolve related issues.
  • Collaborate with sales managers and demand planners to ensure accurate forecasting and customer communication.
  • Manage light accounts independently and support sales managers with their key accounts.
  • Maintain up-to-date price information and ensure accurate customer data in the database.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and contribute to continuous process improvements.
  • Support and promote Dutch language learning within the team; company provides courses if needed.
