Please choose one of the following internships that aligns best with your degree and professional goals Integrated Transition Teams (ITT/CATT/REAP): This internship is looking for Bachelor level interns to provide short-term case management services focused on supporting individuals as they transition from inpatient settings back into the community. Interns will have the opportunity to shadow case managers in community-based settings to better understand service coordination and client engagement in real-world environments. They will participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support collaborative care planning and continuity of services. Additionally, interns may assist staff with public education and outreach efforts in the community, including presentations and informational sessions at senior housing sites and senior centers. This internship requires a valid driver’s license Cypress Center- Counselor: Bachelor level interns will engage in regular patient interaction, including facilitating therapeutic groups and conducting routine safety checks to support a structured and secure treatment environment. They will participate in team meetings, including virtual meetings via Teams, to collaborate on patient care and treatment planning. Responsibilities also include arranging appointments and coordinating care, as well as maintaining consistent communication with outside providers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and comprehensive support for patients Patient Benefits: The Patient Benefits Department at The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester plays a vital role in removing barriers to care by educating patients about their insurance benefits and assisting with Medicaid applications to support individuals seeking treatment. A Bachelor level internship within this department provides valuable exposure to the coordination and collaboration required across teams to effectively serve community members during vulnerable times. Interns will gain experience in insurance verification, navigating the practice management system, and conducting eligibility reviews for uninsured individuals to help facilitate access to needed services. Human Resources: Interns will gain hands-on experience in a variety of human resources functions, including evaluating candidate resumes and identifying key strengths and areas of concern. They will draft and send outreach (“cold call”) emails to potential candidates to encourage applications and engagement. Interns will also review completed workplace investigations and craft thoughtful, original responses to the situations presented to strengthen analytical and decision-making skills. The experience includes participating in mock meetings to practice leading employee relations discussions, such as corrective action, termination, and conflict resolution conversations. Additionally, interns will have opportunities to shadow HR staff during appropriate meetings, including sexual harassment trainings and exit interviews, and may assist with other relevant HR tasks based on their interests and departmental needs.
