• Duration: 3 months

Are you passionate about structured process design and information flow in complex systems? This thesis focuses on analysing and designing an efficient and scalable Technical Query (TQ) management process, ensuring that customer technical requests are routed efficiently to the right stakeholders, tools, and data sources.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrolled student (d/f/m) in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Informatics or related field
• Knowledge in process modelling (e.g. UML) is highly beneficial
• Interest in cross-functional collaboration, engineering support and information flows
• Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Visio, Confluence, or process mapping software
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Fluent English required, German is a plus

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

Student

• Analysis of current handling of Technical Queries within the organization
• Identification of typical TQ types, origins (e.g. customer, internal), and routing challenges
• Mapping existing data flows, tools and decision points
• Design of a structured TQ process model, including:
• Stakeholder and system interface definition
• Responsibility assignment (RACI matrix)
• Data flow diagrams (DFD) and communication workflows
• Development of recommendations for tool support or automation (e.g. ticketing, dashboards)
• Documentation of the process and guidelines for implementation
