Bachelor-Thesis in the field of VR streaming in the XR Team @ Simulation & IT Infrastructure
A vacancy for a Bachelor-Thesis in the field of Extended Reality (XR = VR, AR, MR) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant (d/m/f) will join “Simulation & IT Infrastructure”
In Manching we develop high fidelity Aircraft Simulators, which are basically distributed realtime systems making use of the latest technology to create realistic and immersive development or training experiences. You will help our team to develop Extended Reality applications for training and development simulators.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Integrate CloudXR into an existing Unity project.
  • Setup the project in an existing Cluster.
  • Perform performance and latency tests to evaluate the efficiency, scalability, and practicality of the implemented solution.
  • Documentation of work and scientific results in your thesis

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Enrolled full time Student within Computer Science, Electrical Engineer or a related discipline
  • Experience within Virtual Reality technology and development
  • Experience within Unity Game Engine
  • Software development using C#
  • Proactive way of working and team-orientation
  • Good English written and spoken, any other language is an asset
