BACK END DEVELOPER - JAVA 17, SPRINGBOOT:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Back End Developer - Java 17, Springboot for a 5.5-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

BACK END DEVELOPER - JAVA 17, SPRINGBOOT - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project involves providing instant banking digital access to customers, focusing on product onboarding for both new and existing customers. The Back End Developer will be part of the Client Engineering – Microservices team, responsible for developing microservices for mobile and web digital banking applications.

BACK END DEVELOPER - JAVA 17, SPRINGBOOT - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development for large-scale customer-facing platforms
  • 6+ years of experience as a Java developer, preferably with Java 17/Spring
  • 6+ years of experience in building REST APIs with Spring methodologies and Spring Boot microservice architecture
  • 3+ years of experience with APM tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk
  • 3+ years of experience using Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket

BACK END DEVELOPER - JAVA 17, SPRINGBOOT – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience in FI / Digital banking
  • Knowledge of Agile principles and adaptability to new environments
  • Experience with various frameworks and a high aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, TestNG
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform
