The impact of the role: The Back-End Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power our applications. You will ensure robust performance, scalability, and security across our digital platforms while contributing to the development of reliable, high-quality backend services. On a given day, a Back-End Engineer will: Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs for seamless front-end integration. Develop and maintain relational and non-relational databases ensuring data integrity and performance. Write clean, efficient, and scalable server-side code using languages like Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET. Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices. Optimize server performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks. Work closely with front-end engineers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver integrated solutions. Maintain clear documentation and write unit/integration tests to ensure code reliability. In order to be successful in this role you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 3+ years of experience in back-end development. Proficiency in server-side languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java). Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with API design and integration. Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge of security best practices. Amazing if you have: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Exposure to CI/CD pipelines. Experience with microservices architecture. Understanding of event-driven systems.
