BACK-END ENGINEER - TEAM DECIDE

Taktile is a high-growth, post product-market-fit start-up, on a fast trajectory to becoming market leader in the field of automated decisioning. We are looking for a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join the Decide Team tasked with owning our core decision execution engine at Taktile, complex back-end systems involved in feature computation, as well as the overall decision flow canvas. If you’re ambitious, have strong engineering fundamentals, love doing the simple things exceptionally well, and enjoy propelling a small, dynamic team forward, this role is for you!

REQUIREMENTS

Taktile is a hybrid company with options to work from either our Berlin HQ in Germany or the Iasi Hub in Romania. Taktile will not cover relocation services for this role.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential as we operate in a remote environment requiring clear and effective communication.
Strong engineering fundamentals with a passion for simplicity and precision
Prior industry experience with Python.
Experience with databases and AWS or similar cloud providers.
Proficient in RESTful API development and management.
IDEAL, BUT NOT REQUIRED: DynamoDB/Postgres/Pydantic/AWS Lambda/SQLAlchemy; Experience with frontend development (e.g., React or similar frameworks).

COMPUTER SKILLS

Python, AWS or similar cloud providers, RESTful API

Primarily work on backend components written in Python / FastAPI, hosted on an AWS serverless architecture: Build and enhance our execution engine, our feature computation back-end and other complex subsystems; review pull requests with depth, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
Engage actively in team rituals such as daily syncs, planning sessions, demos, and technical deep-dive discussions.
