With Gen-e2, we deliver end-to-end products 2–3× faster than traditional approaches, while raising the bar for engineering excellence Your Role As a Mid-Level API Backend Developer, you will play a critical role in developing robust and scalable APIs using Python FastAPI. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets the needs of our clients. Design and implement backend services and RESTful APIs using Python FastAPI. Collaborate with frontend developers and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while maintaining security and data protection. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Identify system bottlenecks and recommend solutions for performance improvements. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure best practices are being implemented. Who You Are Minimum of 3 years experience in backend development with a focus on Python, particularly using FastAPI. Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture. Proficient in SQL and/or NoSQL database management and design. Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Conversational English skills required for internal communication and documentation.
