THE SKILLS YOU’LL BRING INCLUDE:

  • 3-5 years of experience with backend development on web sites/applications in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • 2+ years of experience with a headless content management system (e.g. ContentStack or Contentful).
  • Comfortable implementing and interacting with REST web services.
  • Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines etc.) and version control (git).
  • Independence and autonomy on given tasks within an agile development environment.
  • Solid communicator with excellent written and verbal English communication skills both within the team and cross functionally.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Rapid7 is seeking a skilled and collaborative Back-End Software Engineer to join our growing Web Development & Experience team. This team plays a pivotal role in advancing Rapid7’s digital strategy by delivering high-quality web experiences to customers and prospects. This is a hybrid role based out of our Prague office.
The ideal candidate is an experienced back-end web developer, is passionate about building robust technical solutions, solving complex system and business challenges, and creating exceptional digital experiences while working in a fast-paced environment.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Build and Maintain Back-End Services: Develop, maintain, and support back-end systems by writing clean, efficient, and reliable code following best practices and internal requirements.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with front-end developers, QA engineers, web producers, and content managers to deliver seamless solutions as well as the broader corporate IT and development functions.
  • Drive Design and Development: Actively contribute to the design and planning of new features, playing a key role throughout the development process.
  • Full Project Participation: Engage in all project phases, including requirements gathering, data modeling, development, and deployment.
  • Communicate Technical Solutions: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, simplifying complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Take Ownership: Independently estimate, manage, and complete assigned tasks while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
