Description Someburros is hiring Back of House (BOH) Team Members to join our kitchen team. In this role, team members are trained across multiple kitchen positions including Line Cook, Prep Cook, and Dishwasher, helping ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality food for our guests. We are looking for reliable team players who work well in a fast-paced restaurant environment and take pride in food safety, cleanliness, and consistency. Experience is preferred but not required. Paid training is provided. Compensation • Starting pay $18 per hour for most team members • Higher starting pay may be available depending on experience • Tip pooling averages approximately $3.50 additional per hour • Paid training and development opportunities Responsibilities Line Cook • Cook proteins and prepare menu items during service • Maintain speed, consistency, and accuracy during busy rushes • Work assigned stations and communicate with the kitchen team Prep Cook • Prepare vegetables, meats, sauces, and other ingredients • Follow prep sheets and kitchen systems • Maintain organization and cleanliness in prep areas Dishwasher • Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment • Keep the dish area clean and organized • Support the kitchen team with trash removal and restocking Kitchen team members are cross-trained in multiple BOH positions and work together to maintain strong food safety standards and efficient kitchen operations. Requirements Availability • Must be of legal working age in Arizona • Weekend availability required • Typical shifts range 6–8 hours • Full-time availability preferred, but part-time candidates are welcome Experience & Skills • Prior restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required • Comfortable learning knife skills and kitchen equipment • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment • Strong commitment to food safety and cleanliness • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major plus • Reliable transportation to and from work • Team player mindset with strong work ethic Physical Requirements • Ability to stand and stay active throughout the shift • Ability to lift 25–50 pounds • Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment Food Safety & Uniform Standards • Valid Food Handler Card required before starting • Required uniform includes: • Someburros branded shirt • Dark blue or black jeans • Black non-slip shoes • Forward-facing hat or hair net • Long hair must be pulled back • Gloves required when handling food (provided) Work Culture • Tip pooling environment • Strong focus on teamwork and consistency • Growth mindset encouraged with opportunities to advance into kitchen leadership roles
