We are a busy Internal Medicine practice looking for a back office Medical Assistant extraordinaire to join our team! Our practice mission is to deliver outstanding comprehensive care to our patients. This means we constantly strive to learn more, improve, and have fun while doing it. Clinical / Back Office Duties • Prepare patient for examination including taking vital signs, obtaining medical history, med reconciliation and performing ecg. • Prepare for upcoming appointments by obtaining reports, imaging, and/or labs. • Manage medical supplies, inventory, and stock exam rooms. • Assist with minor procedures and setting up trays. • Sterilize instruments and maintain lab equipment. • Order labs, pend orders and prescriptions. Clinical Support: • Assist with answering phones and provide triage. • Schedule patient appointments and respond to patient messages. • Greet and check patients in and out. • Handle insurance prescription prior authorizations. • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed Requirements Preferred qualifications: • EPIC EMR (preferred) • Medical terminology • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Great attitude and willingness to acquire new skills • Must be available for training in April.
