Job Summary: We are looking for a night shift warehouse associate with responsibilities as a backup CLASS B transfer truck driver. You'll be at the center of our state-of-the-art sharpening center, where we sharpen and process 80,000+ knives and blades for our customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, schedule, and execute all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities, to ensure customer requirements are met. Maintains quality compliance. Ensure the shipping schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are completed properly. Apply sound communication to carrier-based as well as receiving facilities. Ensure that customer orders are picked and shipped in a timely fashion within prescribed cost levels. Develop and implement an effective receiving operation that minimizes cost and ensures receiving paperwork is processed accurately and promptly. Checks and unloads inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with a high level of productivity. Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork Counts/verifies and records all products coming into or shipping out of the building, ensuring that all product is properly counted. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. Ensure the optimal utilization of dock space. Records: Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion. Monitor the cleanliness and working condition of all equipment and the facility. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining warehouse security. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety; ensure compliance in accordance with OSHA and other appropriate standards. Ability to drive 26 FT box truck as needed. Other duties: As assigned by Management. Requirements Qualifications: Class B license. Clean driving record a must. Broad knowledge of warehouse operations and technology. Familiarity with warehouse, inventory, and computer systems Must be able to travel overnight as needed. Ability to scale an operation, without sacrificing efficiency and reliability, during periods of rapid growth. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:45 AM. Overtime may be required based on production needs. Overnight stays will be required when filling in as a backup transfer truck driver.
