Job Description We are looking for an experienced Backend / API Engineer to join our IT team and take a key role in developing and maintaining the APIs and connectivity layer that powers our digital products and partner integrations. The role focuses on building and maintaining reliable APIs, supporting integrations with external partners (such as Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and ticket providers), and ensuring smooth communication between our internal systems, mobile applications, and external services. You will work closely with our product, mobile, backend, and frontend teams to expand our platform capabilities and maintain stable integrations with partners. Core Responsibilities Maintain, improve, and extend existing REST APIs powering our internal systems and mobile applications Design and develop new APIs and services supporting product expansion and new integrations Manage and maintain integrations with external partners, including OTAs, booking systems, and ticket providers Support connectivity for: booking creation and management product availability and inventory synchronization partner integrations and data exchange Collaborate with internal teams to integrate backend services with mobile apps and internal tools Communicate with external technical partners to design, implement, and maintain integrations Ensure API reliability, performance, and scalability Contribute to API documentation, monitoring, and troubleshooting Write and maintain unit tests and automated testing Participate in CI/CD processes and deployment workflows Help maintain and improve the overall architecture of our API ecosystem Collaborate with internal commercial teams and external partners to support technical aspects of integrations and API connectivity Skills 4+ years of professional experience in backend development, including API development and integrations Strong experience with Node.js (Express.js preferred) Experience building RESTful APIs Good understanding of API design and best practices Experience integrating with third-party APIs Experience with Docker Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Experience writing unit tests Familiarity with Git-based workflows Experience in debugging and maintaining production systems Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to internal teams, external partners, and non-technical stakeholders. Nice to have Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger / OpenAPI) Experience with Laravel / PHP Experience with monitoring and logging tools Experience integrating with booking systems, ticketing platforms, or travel APIs Understanding of API security concepts (authentication, authorization, API keys, OAuth) What we offer Salary range 2650- 3000gross (depending on experience & skills) Hybrid working (2 days remotely/week) Comprehensive health insurance coverage Wedding gift.
