Backend Developer
Job Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team and support our server-side development processes. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable web services, managing databases, and ensuring seamless integration between the front and back end.
You’ll collaborate with front-end developers, project managers, and Operations to enhance functionality, streamline workflows, and deliver high-quality applications.
Key Responsibilities

As a Backend Developer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain server-side applications using languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, or JavaScript in a Node,js framework.
• Build scalable and secure web services, ensuring high performance and availability.
• Manage and optimize databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, SQL Server) to ensure secure and reliable data storage.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug server-side issues, addressing performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align back-end functionality with front-end interfaces.
• Develop reusable, scalable code that supports future growth and development.

Qualifications & Skills
We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in backend frameworks or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) are a plus.

Experience

• 3-5 years of professional experience in backend web development, ideally with experience in product re-writes or major refactors.
• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle.
• Comfortable working with legacy systems and translating old logic into clean modern code.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and documentation best practices

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, or PHP.
• Experience with database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL).
• Familiarity with frameworks like Django or JavaScript in a Node,js framework.
• Competence in version control systems such as Git.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
