In this role, you’ll work as part of a small, highly skilled remote team building scalable backend systems that connect with blockchain infrastructure and wallet integrations. You’ll have a direct impact on designing and delivering efficient backend architectures while ensuring performance, security, and reliability. This position is full-time, long-term, and remote, open exclusively to candidates based in Europe. Accountabilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in Python (FastAPI) for high-performance applications. Create and integrate RESTful APIs that interact with blockchain networks and smart contracts using Web3.js or Ethers.js. Build and manage wallet integrations to support authentication and transaction workflows. Collaborate closely with the frontend team to deliver seamless and reliable user experiences. Manage and optimize PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis environments for performance and scalability. Apply best practices in backend development to ensure system reliability, data security, and efficient operations. Proven, recent hands-on experience developing production-level services with Python and FastAPI (core requirement). Strong understanding of SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Solid working knowledge of Redis for caching, queues, or data pipelines. Good grasp of API design, backend architecture, and database optimization. Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (a strong plus). Must be based in Europe for team collaboration and time zone alignment.
