Location: Amman, Jordan Company: Make Work Flow GmbH About Make Work Flow Make Work Flow is a German SaaS & IoT company digitizing fashion and footwear production. We build products like SampleFlow and ProductionFlow to help factories work smarter, faster, and with less waste. Our development hub in Amman works closely with the team in Hamburg and our global customers. Role Overview We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our Amman team. You will build and maintain backend services that power our production and supply-chain platforms. You should be strong in Python (FastAPI) or Go, and comfortable working in an agile, product-focused environment. Tasks Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for our web and mobile applications Implement clean, testable, and well-documented code using Python (FastAPI) or Go Work closely with frontend / mobile developers, product managers, and the German team to deliver new features Integrate with internal and external systems (databases, IoT devices, third-party APIs) Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems Write and maintain unit/integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint ceremonies Help improve our architecture and technical standards as we scale the platform Requirements 2+ years of experience as a backend developer Strong experience with either: Python and FastAPI (or similar frameworks like Django / Flask), or Go (Golang) building backend APIs and services Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience Good understanding of RESTful APIs and microservice concepts Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) Experience with Git and modern development workflows Basic knowledge of Docker and containerized environments Comfortable working in an agile/scrum setup Good communication skills in English Nice to Have Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or industrial software Experience with authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2, etc.) Experience working with IoT devices or edge systems is a plus Benefits Work on real products used by factories and brands in Europe and worldwide Close collaboration with an experienced international team in Hamburg & Amman A culture focused on learning, ownership, and continuous improvement Fair salary and clear growth path as we scale the tech team in Amman
