YOUR ENTRY WITH US

You will take over an existing and well-documented backend application based on Node.js, PostgreSQL, and TimescaleDB.

Working alongside our software developers, engineers, and subject matter experts, you will systematically familiarize yourself with the existing architecture and data flows of our platform.

Subsequently, you will gradually assume responsibility for the further development of the API, the database, and the core backend functions.

Our engineers handle the integration of meters, sensors, machines, and building systems, as well as the processing of the respective OT protocols. Your responsibilities begin with the acquisition of standardized data and include its processing, storage, and provision.

YOUR TASKS

• Maintenance and further development of our existing Node.js application
• Design and development of REST APIs
• Development of new backend and platform features
• Further development of the data models in PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB
• Development and optimization of high-performance SQL queries
• Processing, validation and aggregation of technical time series data
• Development of calculation and evaluation logics
• Analysis and correction of errors throughout the entire data flow.
• Further development of logging, monitoring and automated testing
• Participation in authentication, authorization and security concepts
• Documentation of technical functions, interfaces and architectural decisions
• Contributing to the design of future software and data architecture

YOUR PROFILE

Basic requirements

• practical experience in backend or software development
• good knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience with Node.js and the development of REST APIs
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar database systems
• Safe handling of Git and version control
• Ability to analyze and further develop existing applications in a structured manner
