YOUR TASKS

  • Maintenance and further development of our existing Node.js application
  • Design and development of REST APIs
  • Development of new backend and platform features
  • Further development of the data models in PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB
  • Development and optimization of high-performance SQL queries
  • Processing, validation and aggregation of technical time series data
  • Development of calculation and evaluation logics
  • Analysis and correction of errors throughout the entire data flow.
  • Further development of logging, monitoring and automated testing
  • Participation in authentication, authorization and security concepts
  • Documentation of technical functions, interfaces and architectural decisions
  • Contributing to the design of future software and data architecture

YOUR PROFILE

Basic requirements

  • practical experience in backend or software development
  • good knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Experience with Node.js and the development of REST APIs
  • Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar database systems
  • Safe handling of Git and version control
  • Ability to analyze and further develop existing applications in a structured manner
  • analytical, independent and reliable work ethic

Suitable backgrounds

  • IT specialist for application development
  • Software developer with practical backend experience
  • Computer science or business informatics graduates with development experience
  • Engineers with in-depth programming and database knowledge
  • Data Engineers or Platform Engineers specializing in backend and databases

Desirable

  • Experience with TimescaleDB or other time series databases
  • Knowledge of Docker and Linux
  • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD
  • Knowledge of monitoring and central logging
  • Experience with Grafana
  • Basic knowledge of VPN, TLS and certificate management
  • Experience with large data sets or technical measurement data
