Alma is hiring the best software engineer in the world to join our world-class engineering team. Every new hire is going to raise the bar and that’s how we are able to deliver the best AI native product ever seen in legal tech space.
Our entire team works between 9 am and 8 pm Pacific Time and 5 days a week. We try to leave the weekend to our team to recharge and spend time with their family.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a highly-skilled and ambitious backend engineer with 5+ years of developing scalable platform solutions. You need to be super pumped about building AI native products to make immigration easy. You will own the platform end-to-end, partner with frontend engineers to deliver products features and scale our platform by 100x. We need you to be in the 99th percentile of having a “can-do” attitude.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the founding team and early customers to build a world-class AI-powered product.
  • Architect, develop and maintain the server-side logic, databases, APIs, and other backend processes to meet application requirements.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements.
  • Engage in the entire application lifecycle and hold high bar for coding, debugging, and deploying with an emphasis on high-quality, scalable code.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment & wear multiple hats.
  • 5+ years of backend development experience.
  • Experience with developing products built on top of LLMs / ML.
  • Proficient in Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, containerization and scaling microservice.
  • Experience in building products from zero to one.
  • Ability to seek & find the right resources for solving open-ended problems.
  • Located in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
