In 2022, Instabee was founded after combining Budbee and Instabox - two leading last-mile delivery companies with three consumer-facing brands: Budbee, Instabox, and Porterbuddy. Instabee serves millions of consumers across Europe with convenient deliveries and is on track to become the leading European e-commerce enabler. Always with the consumer at heart.
We’re fast, both in terms of parcel delivery and when it comes to growing our business. So far our journey has taken us from Sweden to the rest of Scandinavia and parts of continental Europe, but we have no plans on stopping anytime soon. As we continue to expand, the complexity of Instabee grows in parallel. With that in mind, we’re now looking for you to help us on the journey ahead.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a communicative senior engineer with at least 5 years of work experience - If you are a skilled problem solver who loves coding, collaborating and making complex things work, then this is the place for you! We value individuals who are keen to learn, and your eagerness to develop your skill set will probably be your strongest asset when joining us. Beyond that we imagine that you have the following:

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer, in a modern tech environment
• Proficiency in Golang
• Experience with Node.js, React, MQTT is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and GCP (or another cloud provider).
• Experience in working with an agile development methodology.
• Experience with IoT is a big plus since the team is responsible for managing the software of our Box fleet.
• While we are looking for a Backend Developer the team does frontend development as well, with the most critical one being the UI on the boxes. If you are interested in it, there are opportunities to work on frontend tasks as well.

We’re now looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our Box Team and shape the future of one of Sweden’s most impactful delivery products: our Box systems. Your work will ensure they operate seamlessly—no matter the circumstances.
In this role, you’ll focus on designing, building, and maintaining the systems that power our parcel box network, from scaling backend services in the cloud to ensuring reliable operation even with unstable connectivity and unexpected user behaviors. You’ll be involved in technical decision-making, architecture, and hands-on coding, making this an excellent opportunity for those who thrive on solving complex challenges.
