WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

focus

• You will develop services and APIs with Go (Golang) – using Python as a supplement – ​​for our Big Data and BI platform.
• You build scalable backends for dashboards, data products, and technical analyses.
• You design, maintain and optimize data models and ETL/ELT processes that reliably supply our BI applications and reporting structures .
• You automate recurring processes, e.g. with GitLab CI and Salt.
• You ensure the stable operation of the data platform – including monitoring, error analysis, deployment and continuous improvement.
• You work closely with production systems: What you develop should run reliably, be maintainable, and function in operation.

As part of the agile team

• You will work directly with analysts, data engineers and internal stakeholders to implement new requirements in a technically sound manner.
• You connect new data sources, automate recurring processes, and ensure verifiable data quality.
• You conduct technical proof-of-concepts for new tools, architectures, and platform components.
• You actively contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and the operation of our platform.
• You act as a dedicated team player with an eye for clean solutions and stable systems.

YOUR PROFILE:

Must

• Successfully completed studies in computer science, mathematics, business informatics or an equivalent qualification
• (also acquired through professional experience).
• Solid programming skills in Go/Golang; good Python skills as a second language.
• Experience in developing backend services, APIs, or data pipelines.
• Experience in handling SQL, data modeling, and high-performance queries.
• Safe handling of Git in a team context.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI).
• Good German and English skills.

Plus

• Practical experience with Kubernetes or similar container platforms.
• Experience in operating data pipelines or production-related applications.
• Experience with monitoring, logging and error analysis in production environments.
• Knowledge of ClickHouse and Grafana.
• Experience with distributed databases, large datasets, or analytical data platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, containerization, or platform automation.
• Solid Linux knowledge.
• Experience with BI tools and their technical integration into a data platform.
• Understanding of data governance and data quality processes.
• Ability to present technical information in a way that is understandable to non-technical team members.
• Experience in agile software development, e.g. Scrum or Kanban.
• Confident handling of modern development tools, including the sensible use of assistance tools in everyday development work.
