Job Description As a Backend Engineer in the Production Development team, you’ll build internal products and backend platforms that power how Wix operates and evolves its production environment. You’ll design systems that make managing production safe, transparent, and efficient, helping engineers deliver with confidence and speed. Qualifications 6+ years of experience as a backend engineer, building and maintaining large-scale production systems Proficiency in TypeScript or Go, with experience developing distributed and event-driven backend services Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, with attention to reliability and production quality Ability to work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deliver production-ready solutions Hands-on experience working with AWS services and serverless architectures (e.g., Lambda, SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch) - an advantage Familiarity with containerized environments and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes - an advantage Additional Information We are Wix's Backend Engineering Guild. We provide integrated tools for microservice development within Wix to help improve developer productivity and best practices. These tools streamline the development process and reduce cognitive load allowing Wix Engineers to concentrate on their domain, architecture, and business logic. To handle high-scale traffic (over 500B HTTP requests per day) and 500+ daily deployments, our team of 500 Backend Engineers runs production across 19 distributed data centers and cloud vendors worldwide.
