Description
Your mission At Wandelbots, we're building NOVA - a platform that makes robot programming accessible to everyone. Our Cloud & Simulation team owns everything from the NOVA OS core apps and App Store to simulation integrations and the data infrastructure connecting robot cells across the shop floor. Now we're taking NOVA into the cloud. NOVA Cloud is our next big step: an orchestration layer that extends the NOVA ecosystem, enables multi-tenancy, and opens the platform to third-party integrations. You'll lead the architecture - designing the service boundaries, APIs, and plugin infrastructure that define how NOVA scales. This is a role for someone who thinks beyond features and cares how systems fit together. You'll own services end-to-end and grow into a staff engineer shaping technical direction for cloud-native robotics at Wandelbots. You'll be the architect behind what comes next: Drive the architecture of our cloud platform with extensibility and scalability in mind Accelerate the NOVA platform by building NOVA Cloud - the orchestration layer for NOVA OS instances that extends the NOVA ecosystem with new capabilities Design integration patterns and APIs that allow external services and plugins to connect reliably Think through multi-tenancy, service boundaries, and ecosystem design from the ground up Implement backend services and own them end-to-end, from design through production Evolve our Kubernetes-based infrastructure Experience in developing helm charts, GitOps Define how services communicate, authenticate, and scale Bring structure to complex technical problems and take others along with you Your profile In-depth experience designing distributed, cloud-native systems, not just building features within them Strong architectural thinking: service boundaries, API design, extensibility patterns Experience building platforms that other systems or teams integrate against Kubernetes in real production environments Cloud expertise Authentication and authorization at the platform level (OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC) Message broker experience (NATS or similar) Experience in TypeScript backend development Nice to have: Experience designing plugin or marketplace ecosystems Production ownership experience Mature CI/CD thinking Why us? About us EASY-TO-USE-ROBOTICS FOR EVERYONE Imagine a world with more room to unleash our unique cognitive strengths at work. A world where all people – whether craftsmans, blue-collars worker or engineers – have access to automation technologies that perform inhuman, monotonous and high-precision tasks much more efficiently than we do. At Wandelbots, we're fundamentally reshaping the way to work with robots. We eliminate the complexity and develop easy-to-use solutions to speed up automation and empower everyone to work with industrial robots and beyond. Mission 2017 founded, Wandelbots employs more than 100 people from 14 countries today. From our headquarters in Dresden Germany, we are giving our heart and soul to follow our mission, to empower everybody to easily work with robots.
