Job Description As a Backend Engineer, you’ll join a brand new team focused on development tools such as AI agents, gateways, and orchestrations, working to improve Wix’s velocity and quality. Build tools used by every developer at Wix, with the goal of significantly improving the velocity and quality of tools and products in the organization Create new solutions and take ownership of existing ones in areas like production testing and performance Take projects from ideation to production, including technical design, RFC, coding and more Work with cutting-edge full-stack technologies at the highest industry standards and leverage the most up-to-date tools Be a part of an R&D team with extremely experienced colleagues Create tools by developers for developers, influencing the product at virtually every level Qualifications 6+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer Fluent in server-side technologies (NodeJS, Java, Python) A proactive approach to staying updated on industry best practices and tools, and the ability to apply them within your team Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A self-learner who is independent, but also collaborates and is a great team player Experience working on products end-to-end, covering frontend, server and cloud technologies – an advantage Additional Information We are Wix’s Internal Platform Engineering team. We’re responsible for maintaining and managing all critical infrastructure for employees, including single sign-on (SSO), VPN connectivity, business intelligence (BI) critical services and more. Composed of talented engineers from various fields such as security, network, infra and software development, our team leverages cutting-edge technologies such as IAC. We ensure that all their services are not only robust and secure, but also innovative and efficient, keeping Wix at the forefront of technological advancement.

Responsibilities
