Description
We are looking for Backend Engineering Interns to join our Engineering team. This internship is designed for students or fresh graduates who want hands-on experience working on real production systems in a fast-paced tech environment. You will work closely with experienced backend engineers and gain exposure to real-world backend development, system architecture, and engineering best practices. Responsibilities: Assist in developing and maintaining backend services and APIs Write clean, readable, and well-documented code Support in debugging and fixing backend issues Work with databases (SQL / NoSQL) to store and retrieve data Participate in code reviews and team discussions Follow best practices in security, performance, and scalability Support the team with testing and basic documentation Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Basic knowledge of backend development concepts Familiarity with at least one backend language or framework (e.g. PHP (Laravel or Yii2), Node.js, Java, or Python) Basic understanding of REST APIs Basic knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow Good problem-solving and communication skills Nice to Have Experience with Git or version control systems Exposure to Docker, CI/CD, or cloud platforms is a plus Previous academic or personal backend projects
