About the Role We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team working on a high-traffic consumer technology platform. You will build and maintain APIs, services, and data pipelines that power real-time user experiences at scale. This is a polyglot role. Our backend spans Node.js (Express) and Python (FastAPI, Django), with both MySQL and PostgreSQL databases. You will move between languages and frameworks depending on what the problem demands. If you are the kind of engineer who gets uncomfortable being locked into one stack, you will fit right in. You will use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) as everyday tools. We expect you to be proficient with them, not just familiar. Knowing how to prompt, review AI-generated code critically, and ship faster because of it is a core part of how we work.
