Backend Engineer About We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team and help build reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems that power our SaaS products. You’ll work primarily with Ruby on Rails and Go, contributing to an API-first, multi-tenant architecture that serves users across different environments. This role is ideal for someone who’s hands-on with backend development, enjoys solving real product challenges, and wants to grow into a broader architectural or technical ownership role. You’ll collaborate closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to ship features and continuously improve our systems. Skills & Qualifications 3–6 years of experience in backend or platform development. Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Go, or similar backend frameworks. Good understanding of API design, data modeling, and scalable backend systems. Experience working with MySQL, Redis, or similar databases. Comfortable with Docker and AWS for deployment and system operations. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, testing, and application monitoring. Awareness of security best practices, authentication, and authorization in APIs. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience. Nice to have: Exposure to multi-tenant SaaS platforms or distributed systems. Familiarity with Snowflake, Terraform, or other cloud automation tools. Interest in performance optimization and system observability. What You’ll Do Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and APIs. Work with the team to design and implement scalable, cloud-ready systems. Collaborate with frontend and product engineers to build seamless user experiences. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and standards. Help build CI/CD pipelines, monitor applications, and support deployments.
