As we continue our journey to becoming the best everyday bank in the Nordics, we are looking for a Backend Engineer to help us build Lending products for Lunar private and business customers. As our new Backend Engineer, you will be part of our Experience business area, reporting to Rasmus. This area currently comprises a diverse group of amazing individuals located in Aarhus who are focused on scaling Lunar role as a Nordic full-service bank. What will you do? Develop and maintain our banking systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security. Work with distributed systems and event-driven architecture to scale our payment infrastructure. Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of projects, managing dependencies across various teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time. Embrace and uphold engineering standards, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Work in an agile environment with a high degree of autonomy, evaluate team processes to identify and implement high-impact improvements. What are we looking for in you? We can’t wait to follow up with talents who we believe are the best fit based on the following criteria: 3+ years of professional experience as a backend engineer, with a strong background in distributed systems. A solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team. A proven ability to navigate ambiguity and take on projects with a security-first mindset. Experience with Cloud technologies an AI-assisted coding.
