Banking hasn't changed much in decades. We're changing that. One product at a time. Lunar is a Nordic challenger bank building the future of financial life with AI at the core. Our engineers, designers, and product people work on problems that actually matter. Making money simpler, smarter, and more rewarding for millions of people across the Nordics. Fully licensed and founded in 2015, with offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Stockholm. We move fast, we build with purpose, and we're just getting started. As our new Backend Engineer you’ll join squad Void based in Aarhus, reporting to Mathies Boile Christensen, working to make building great products simple for Lunar’s product squads, by driving our client platforms, owning shared capabilities, and giving every team the solid foundation they need to ship a fantastic experience. What will you do? Build and ship backend services in Go, owning them from the first commit to production and beyond. At Lunar, you build it and run it. Work daily alongside iOS, Android, and Web engineers, as well as Product, Design, and Data. Cross-functional is how we work. Move fast and iterate. We learn quickly from what doesn't work and don't let perfection slow down progress. Contribute to a shared platform that Lunar's product squads depend on. The work you do in Void has reach across the whole organisation. Work in a team that takes AI seriously as part of how we write and ship code. You'll have the tools, the culture, and the mandate to explore what that means in practice What are we looking for in you? Up to 5 years of Backend Engineer experience. Go is our primary language, and we'll help you get there if you're coming from another typed language. A collaborative mindset. You ask good questions early, communicate clearly, and make the people around you better. A genuine eagerness to learn, including domain-driven design and event-sourced architecture at scale. Comfort, or strong curiosity, with cloud-native tooling, such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS. A drive to grow and take ownership. You follow through on your work, take feedback well, and actively look for ways to improve your craft. What you get (aka. Benefits and perks) 4 days in the office.
