Location: Los Angeles, CA On-Site | Full-time Compensation: $200K-$300K + equity + benefits. Our client seeks Backend Engineers with deep expertise in infrastructure, data architecture, and low-latency systems to join as foundational members of the engineering team. Key Responsibilities: System Architecture: Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services and infrastructure. Low-Latency Engineering: Optimize system performance to ensure minimal latency for data processing and media delivery. Data Infrastructure: Develop robust data pipelines and storage solutions capable of handling massive, real-time datasets. Scalability & Reliability: Implement best practices for system monitoring, security, and automated deployment to ensure 24/7 reliability. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with a lean team of "A-player" engineers to translate high-level product goals into technical reality. Technical Excellence: Proven experience in backend development with a focus on infrastructure, distributed systems, or low-latency environments. Startup Mindset: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, stealth-mode environment where adaptability and speed are essential. Engineering Depth: Proficiency in languages and frameworks suited for high-performance systems (e.g., Rust, Go, C++, or specialized Java/Python applications). Location: Willingness to work on-site in Los Angeles (IRL) to collaborate with the core team. Problem-Solving: A track record of tackling "technically hard" challenges and delivering production-ready solutions. Competitive Compensation: A starting base salary ranging from $200,000 to $300,000, depending on experience.
