As a Backend Engineer at OpenPhone, you’ll join a dynamic team working on our innovative communication platform for small and medium-sized businesses. You’ll contribute to one of our specialised engineering pillars that power different aspects of our growing platform, and join one of our teams across our Engineering pillars, who own different areas of our platform:

• Workflow Automation, who develop a highly configurable workflow engine that caters to the diverse operational needs of SMBs using OpenPhone.
• Communication, who improve messaging, calling, and internal collaboration features for customer-facing teams and their managers.
• Connect, who connect OpenPhone into the SMB tech stack to better support existing customers, capture new ones, and build strategic product partnerships.
• AI Agent Engine, who own and build our AI Agent, Sona
