Roles & Responsibilities

A Backend / Integration Lead (Java) is typically responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of backend systems, APIs, and enterprise applications while mentoring developers and coordinating with stakeholder.

• Technical lead for Backend Squad. Owns Java Spring Boot services, and API design.
• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Define backend architecture, coding standards, design patterns, and development best practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration services.
• Lead system integration with internal and external applications using REST, SOAP, messaging platforms, and event-driven architectures.
• Ensure API security, versioning, documentation, and governance using industry standards.
• Review code, conduct technical design reviews, and enforce quality assurance practices.
• Mentor and coach backend developers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Design and optimize database interactions, including SQL queries, stored procedures, and transaction management.
• Analyze and resolve complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Drive application performance tuning, scalability improvements, and system reliability initiatives.
• Implement automated units, integration, and performance testing to ensure software quality.
• Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and organizational governance requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and architectural approaches to improve backend capabilities.
• Manage technical risks, estimate development effort, and contribute to project planning and resource allocation.
• Coordinate release planning, deployment activities, and post-production support.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specifications, and operational procedures.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between enterprise systems and third-party platforms.
• Monitor application health, availability, and performance using logging, monitoring, and observability tools, and lead continuous improvement initiatives

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in one of the following:

• Computer Science
• Software Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Information Technology
• Information Systems (or a closely related field)

Preferred Certifications

• Oracle Certified Professional (Java)
• AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect
• Microsoft Azure Developer Associate
• Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)
• Scrum Master or Agile certifications
• TOGAF (for enterprise architecture roles)
• Technical Lead with 10+ years of experience specializing in Integration activities and deliver end-to-end APIs and solutions to integrate Portal / Mobile with different backend system.
• Analyze and optimize integration of Mobile applications with different backend system to have the best experience of online shopping.
