QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of backend development experience in Java.
• Strong knowledge of Quarkus or other modern Java frameworks.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS and GCP cloud environments.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Bitbucket).
• Experience working in Agile development teams and using Jira (or similar tools) for task tracking.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a startup environment.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred (not required).
• Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered in place of formal education.
• Relevant certifications are a plus:
• Java development certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE).
• Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Developer, AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Developer).
• DevOps certifications (e.g., Kubernetes CKA/CKAD, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, Jenkins, Docker).
• Agile or Scrum certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Developer, SAFe Agile) are a bonus.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Backend Java Developer with Cloud DevOps expertise to join our core engineering team. You’ll design and build backend systems with Quarkus, while also owning the multi-cloud DevOps infrastructure that powers AltumatimOS. This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape both backend services and deployment pipelines across AWS and GCP.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java + Quarkus.
• Build scalable REST APIs and microservices to support AltumatimOS and intelligent agents.
• Architect, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS and GCP.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for multi-cloud deployments.
• Ensure system security, reliability, and performance, aligned with SOC 2 compliance.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
