Team Introduction
Our Business Infrastructure aims to provide a unified access layer, byte ecology and architecture depth services for the group’s internal business lines and middle platform, based on the internal infrastructure, Volcano Engine (or other public clouds) two types of Infrastructure Providers, and is responsible for the group’s architecture stability, architecture disaster recovery and service experience.
As a member of the Business Infrastructure DevOps team, you will be managing complex challenges at a scale unique to TikTok using your expertise in coding, complexity analysis and large-scale system design. As a DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for managing, designing, and developing our cloud infrastructure by using best practices for infrastructure automation, including configuration management, continuous integration, continuous deployment and automatic site-building.
What you will be doing
1. Design and develop infrastructure code to automate the deployment of cloud-based resources;
2. Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure deployment templates, using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager;
3. Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure and ensure availability, reliability, and security of resources;
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that infrastructure code meets business requirements;
5. Develop and maintain best practices for infrastructure automation and contribute to the development of our DevOps processes;
6. Ensure that all infrastructure changes are properly documented and communicated to all relevant stakeholders;
7. Provide support for production systems and troubleshooting issues related to infrastructure code.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and best practices;
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef;
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure deployment and management using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager;
• Strong knowledge of at least one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP);
• Knowledge of networking and security concepts as they relate to cloud infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical background involving software/system engineering, or equivalent working experience;
• Minimum of 2 years experience with the following:
• Large-scale distributed systems, computing, storage, or databases(eg. SQL, NoSQL etc);
• Designing, analysing, and debugging large-scale distributed systems.
