Title : Backend Software Engineer (LLM, Content Team)
Location : Remote - must have 3-hour overlap with PST
Duration : 12 months contract

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 8 years experience (will take 4-5 in large enterprise setting
• Experience utilizing LLMs in data workflows, multiple-round RAG
• Proficiency in Python and scripting.
• Ability to naturally write clear, unconvoluted, testable code.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis.
• Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud.
• Work cross-functionally, collaborate and partner with product and peer engineers to distill requirements, unblock themselves and others.
• Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test, and launch.
• Continuously learn and improve your technical and non-technical abilities.
• Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging to identify and resolve integration issues
• .Familiarity with software engineering best practices such as unit/integration/end-to-end testing, design documents, CI/CD, A/B testing, code reviews, and documentation
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule.
• Excellent communication skills. You collaborate effectively with teams in a fully remote environment and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and handling high-throughput workloadRELEVANT INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE- Working for large scale tech companies- Minimum 8+ years of post-internship, full-time, hands-on, professional software development experience developing distributed backend systems at scale
• Experience with distributed systems and large-scale backend systems
• Ability to debug at scale and navigate large codebases
• Comfort with experimentation (A/B testing) and project management (task breakdown, estimation)
• Proactive communication , cross-team collaboration
• Ability to unblock themselves without heavy oversight
