As a Backend Software Engineer, you will: Design, develop, and maintain security solutions for Edge and cloud environments, focusing on cryptography, keys and certificates. Lead technical architecture and design discussions, driving innovation in secure Azure Edge technologies across Windows and Linux. Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Analyze emerging security threats and implement proactive measures to protect users, devices, and cloud workloads in the edge. 3+ years for SDE, or 5+ years Senior, of experience developing code in C#/Go/Python/Rust. Experience designing cloud-scale services and distributed systems. Meaningful work experience with AI based / agentic development tools and processes (e.g. GitHub Copilot Agent, VS Code Agent, Curser, Claude Code, Cline, etc.) Proven team player with strong communication skills Experience with computer security and security protocols. Expertise in Windows and Linux security models, access controls, and least privilege principles. Experience with cryptography, certificate trust, and PKI. Understanding of operating system internals (kernel, file systems, networking, memory management, scheduling).
