POSITION OVERVIEW
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and energetic individual to serve as Background Check Specialist. Under general direction, this position will provide input into regulating, monitoring, and controlling the Department’s Background Check Unit, serving as liaison between the licensing workers and employers in facilities licensed by the Department. The position will develop and provide comprehensive complex, database reports, utilizing extensive knowledge and understanding of multiple software programs.
The position will also receive and evaluate Child Abuse and Neglect Tracking System results and criminal history rep sheets to determine what information is appropriate to be sent to licensing workers/employers for review and recommendation. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and interested in playing a supporting role in the Department’s licensing operations.
