What We Offer Competitive compensation and Total Rewards Strong safety culture and excellent local leadership Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and more Career growth and ongoing training opportunities Schedule Monday – Friday Occasional weekend work required Main Ingredients of the Job Safely drive tractor-trailer to vendors and company drop-off sites Bump docks and complete backhaul operations Verify freight accuracy and required trailer temperatures with vendors Return tractor and trailer to the division upon route completion Perform all required pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections Physical Requirements Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) Ability to safely perform tractor/trailer coupling and uncoupling procedures What You Bring to the Table Must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse* At least 21 years of age Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with required endorsements and DOT qualifications Minimum of six (6) months of commercial driving experience OR three (3) months of commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations Willingness to travel 2–3 times per week Ability to read and communicate in English, including understanding traffic signs, responding to official inquiries, and completing reports and records Why Our Drivers Matter Great drivers are crucial to the US FOODS® team and are one of the important faces of our organization.
