Infrastructure Engineer- Backup Operations - Networker Backup Our client, a global technology organisation, is looking to recruit the services of an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Professional on a contract basis to be based in Sheffield. The post holder will be required to join their Backup Operations team within their Cloud Services operations, and will play a key role in managing and supporting our client's internal IT backup estate, ensuring operational excellence and contributing to the design and development of technical solutions. Key Responsibilities: Provide operational support for backup systems, including Networker Backup, Data Domain, and tape. Maintain and follow operational procedures, including out-of-hours support and on-call duties. Conduct technical peer reviews and deep-dive analysis to resolve issues. Design and develop components of technical solutions aligned with our client's architecture and security standards. Collaborate with teams to identify improvements and contribute to our client's technology roadmap. Required skills and experience: Strong knowledge of backup and recovery principles. Hands-on experience with Networker Backup, Linux/Windows OS, and backup targets. Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Ability to work across teams and apply systems thinking.
