Employment Status: Full-time / non-exempt / hourly
Hours: 8:30am to 5:50 pm, Monday - Friday
Location: Torrance, CA

SUMMARY:

Yonex USA specializes in producing technologically advanced sports equipment to enable players, both amateur and professional, to play tennis, badminton, golf, snowboard, and pickleball at a higher level. The Sales Assistant will support the sales team by executing on sales activities, reporting on sales progress, and
providing administrative duties for the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of sales experience is preferred
  • Experience or personal interest in tennis and/or badminton
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite is required
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
  • Basic understanding of sales principals and customer service practices
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedule on short and long term as well as the ability to meet
  • strict deadlines
  • Possess strong oral and written communication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in
  • a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
  • Assist Sales Supervisor in overseeing badminton sales activities
  • Prepare sales materials including but not limited to price lists, MAP Lists, manuals, and reports (sales
  • reports, order status reports, etc.)
  • Coordinate with various departments regarding sales programs, sales materials, and product information
  • Coordinate sales events, meetings, and tournament booths
  • Assist the Promotions team with badminton product demonstrations
  • Schedule, conduct, and report local, regional, and national sales activities
  • Enter and maintain pricing and other items in the company database
  • Monitor and report Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) violations
  • Enter customer orders into the company database, as needed
  • Communicate with Sales Representatives to effectively manage the Territory Development Budget
  • Update account list with the latest information with the Accounting department
  • Respond to common inquiries from internal and external parties
  • Write formal business letters, memorandums, basic reports, and procedure manuals
  • Other duties as assigned by management
