Position: Baggage Handler (Part-Time)
Hours: TBD
Location: 81 Bay Street, Toronto, ON

Responsibilities:

  • Feel comfortable working around the public, buses and handling customer service complaints and issues.
  • Load luggage onto fleet when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area around the terminal and baggage handling facilities.
  • Provide assistance to passengers with special needs or in cases of lost or mishandled baggage.
  • Communicate with other terminal employees to ensure prompt turnaround times.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Commitment to safety procedures and regulations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Possess good organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and have good problem-solving skills.
  • Must be dependable with a high degree of integrity.
  • Self-directed and a quick learner
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and walk for extended periods of time.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Significant standing, walking, moving, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, Ability to lift articles up to 50 lbs.
