Description
BAKER Main Responsibilities: Maintain enthusiastic customer service and awareness. Assist customers with product suggestions, special orders, and food preparation. Prepare baked goods including bread, cookies, pastries, and donuts using division production sheets. Measure, mix, proof, and bake dough or batter; decorate and display products. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and visual appeal of the bakery area and equipment. Ensure proper temperatures during preparation, display, and storage. Stock, rotate, and organize inventory to ensure freshness and compliance. Follow department standards and company policies. Perform receiving duties and maintain accurate department records. Complete daily logs, production charts, and other required paperwork. We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Soft Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills Professional demeanor with customers and coworkers Reliability and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and collaboratively Competencies: Attention to detail and quality control Time management and organizational skills Customer service orientation Compliance with safety and sanitation standards Knowledge: Basic mathematics and weights/measures Product variety, perishability, and handling Sanitation and labeling regulations Company policies and bakery department procedures Abilities: Lift and maneuver items up to 60 lbs Stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination Operate bakery equipment (e.g., mixers, ovens, slicers, proof boxes) Educational Requirements: Food safety certification (preferred, but not required) Travel Requirements: Occasional travel within 5-10 miles of home store Other Requirements: Must comply with grooming and dress code standards May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays Good attendance is required Exposure to flour dust, cleaning agents, and temperature extremes (400°F ovens, -20°F freezers) Why choose us?
