Hello! We are Nostalgia Games Cafe, a board game cafe in Burlington and we are currently recruiting people to join our team!
As a Baker/Barista you will support the baking operations of our cafe, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality baked goods and provide customers with great service and barista drinks.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assist in the preparation and baking of various bakery items, including cupcakes, cookies, and more.
• Prepare finished products for display and sale, ensuring they are presented attractively.
• Prepare drinks in accordance to company recipes and quality standards in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and baking areas to adhere to food safety regulations.
• Prepare ingredients for food menu items.
• Support cake decorating efforts by applying basic techniques as needed.
• Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and quality.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions they may have about our products.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in the food industry or a kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and handling practices is essential to maintain a safe working environment.
• Familiarity with baking techniques and cake decorating is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented setting.
• A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn more about the baking process will be highly valued.
• Willing to grow with the business and contribute ideas and improvements to processes.
