Description

The Baker plays a key role in preparing fresh bread and baked goods that are essential to our signature dishes. This position requires attention to detail, consistency in product quality, and respect for traditional baking methods.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a baker, preferably in a Lebanese or Middle Eastern kitchen.
  • Knowledge of traditional Lebanese bread and baking methods is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, dough rollers, etc.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
  • Good time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work on your feet for long hours.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, knead, proof, and bake traditional Lebanese breads according to Kababji standards.
  • Maintain daily production levels to meet operational requirements.
  • Ensure all baked items are of high quality, fresh, and consistent in taste, texture, and appearance.
  • Follow and respect traditional Lebanese baking techniques while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Monitor oven temperature, baking times, and ingredient proportions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the baking area, equipment, and tools.
  • Properly store all ingredients and baked items, ensuring correct labeling and rotation (FIFO).
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to meet demand, especially during peak hours.
  • Report any shortages or equipment issues to the Head Chef/Kitchen Supervisor.
  • Support other kitchen operations when needed, including assisting in prep and service.
