FILINVEST COMPANY: CRIMSON RESORT & SPA MACTAN In accordance with the policies, procedure and standards of Chroma Hospitality Inc and Crimson Resort & Spa, Mactan, and under the direct supervision of the Chef De Partie- Baker, this position is responsible for contributing to customer delight by cooking and preparing cakes, pies, and other desserts and pastries as required. Job Responsibilities: FOOD PREPARATION Assures the preparation of all pastry food products. Follows menus and procedures as detailed in the Standard Recipes. Ensures the correct use of food items for proper rotation. Checks the quality of and labels items prepared. Promote customer delight by ensuring smooth operations. Performs maximum flexibility and creativity when dealing with special guest requests. Provides efficient service to guests. Follows service procedures. Ensures that all equipment are properly used and maintained. Checks all gears, mixers, and tools of machines are functioning properly. Uses equipment according to standard operating procedures. Reports improper use of equipment. Performs all assignments and instructions given by superiors. Maintains cleanliness and working condition of all tools, work surfaces, and storage areas. Ensures proper use and safekeeping of all equipment. CONTROLS STOCKS Practice proper use and utilization of supplies. Determines inventory of all existing stocks and ensures the quality of items. PROFITABILITY Follows cost control procedures. COMMUNICATION Maintains good relationship with colleagues and contributes to team spirit. Attends daily shift briefing as required. Reports any discrepancies to immediate superior. Provides accurate information as required. Supports the Pastry & Bakery team. Reports to superior on Mis-en-Place status. Reports any unusual occurrence or safety hazards. HEALTH, SAFETY, AND HYGIENE Maintains cleanliness in accordance with hotel standards. Follows safety standards and ensures compliance. Follows Sanitation & Sterilization Procedures. Follows Hotel Rules & Regulations. Implements and adheres to HACCP guidelines. GENERAL ADMINISTRATION Attends work on time as scheduled. Maintains a professional and neat appearance. Maintains confidentiality of all problems or concerns within the department. Maintains good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments. Demonstrates the ability to take initiative. Reports any health or safety hazards to immediate superior. Assists in other areas of the kitchen as needed.
