Flourist is a popular Mill + Bakery located in East Vancouver. We are a community hub centred around the ancient practice of flour milling. We bake using freshly milled flour exclusively using organically grown, Canadian grains.

JOB SUMMARY:

Flourist is hiring an experienced sourdough bread baker / mixer to work at our East Vancouver mill + bakery.
This position will primarily be on the bread team at Flourist, working with the Head Baker on our sourdough bread program. This position will have a consistent schedule and shifts will be a mix of mornings and evenings. Support for pizza may also be required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience as a Baker or in a similar role (1 year)
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

SKILLS:

  • Excellent baking skills with the ability to produce high-quality products consistently
  • Proficient in using kitchen equipment such as mixers and ovens
  • Knowledge of sourdough bread and the process
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt them as needed
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week
